Princess Charlotte, the first daughter of Crown Prince Williams and his wife Kate recently headed off to nursery school for her very first day.
The cute princess who turned two last year cut a confident picture as she posed for the cameras before her big day.
The princess was accompanied to nursery school by none other than her mother the Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate was a very proud mother as she celebrated her daughter’s big day with two pictures she took by herself.
Princess Charlotte was photographed by her mother before she headed off to nursery school at Willcocks Nursery School.
The youngster was all smiles as she posed for the cameras atop the palace steps at Kensington.
Charlotte was pictured sitting down on some outside steps in the grounds of the famous palace, while another photograph showed the little girl standing as she held onto a rail.
Princess Charlotte who is fourth in line to the throne was wearing a red £120 coat by Amaia Kids and a pretty pink scarf.
She was also carrying a Cath Kidston pony rucksack, demonstrating perhaps that she already shares her great-grandmother the Queen’s love of horses.
Kate, Charlotte’s mother and the Duchess of Kensington is a keen and accomplished photographer and she was only too happy to use her daughter as a muse.
Last year, she was awarded a lifetime honorary membership of the Royal Photographic Society which recognized her ‘talent and enthusiasm’.
In recent years, Kate has proved that she is not afraid to buck tradition to do what she loves.
The Duchess bucked tradition when she took the first official photographs of her newborn daughter in 2015.
Charlotte’s older brother Prince George has already started Middle School since September 2017.
On that occasion, the youngster was accompanied to his school at Battersea by his father Prince Williams.
Kate missed accompanying her son on his first day of middle school on September 7, 2017, due to severe morning sickness.
But she wasn’t going to miss this one, as she was present with her camera in tow.
The Duchess of Cambridge makes it a point to mark milestones in her children’s lives with pictures.
The 35-year-old, a history of art graduate, has previously released pictures to mark other milestones in her children’s lives, including George’s first day at nursery school and Charlotte’s first birthday.
Princess Charlotte will be a full-time student at Willcocks Nursery School.
The school charges fees of just over £3,000 a term for pupils attending its Monday to Friday morning school and employs lots of play as children learn.
Charlotte had previously not been spotted out in public for the past six months.
And she looked much more grown up in the pictures released by her mother.
She appears to have grown taller and looked to have added a few inches to her overall hair length.
At her nursery school, the little Princess will enjoy pottery and poetry classes at the sought-after nursery, which is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and located next to the Royal Albert Hall.
When it was announced that Charlotte would be attending Wilcocks, a spokesman for the school said,
‘We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen the Willcocks Nursery School for Princess Charlotte. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.’
